Exciting Start to 2012

2012 is off to a great start, beginning with Boyd Martin's Neville Bardos winning the USEF International Horse of the Year Award! Neville and Boyd were featured on the FRONT PAGE of the New York Times which brought all sorts of attention to this humble little horse with an amazing life story. It was media madness for a while there and we are still fielding interviews for Boyd as excitement builds for the 2012 Olympic Games.

It has been a great start to the competition season with all of my clients having successful first starts with their young horses and upper level competitors. Boyd and Silva Martin are located in Aiken, SC and busy riding, teaching and competing as Boyd aims his top contenders for the London Olympic Games. TV crews will be filming at a couple of events this spring - more to info soon!

Silva and her dressage horses continue to impress, with horses at all levels doing well and her promising mare Rosa Cha back in action and bringing home blue ribbons once again.

Kristin Schmolze, also based in Aiken, is on the high performance list with her 2011 Pan-Am reserve horse Ballylaffin Bracken and is aiming her veteran campaigner Cavaldi at the Badminton CCI4*. Kristin also has an exciting selection of young horses coming up the ranks and for sale. She and I just finished an educational article that will be coming out in Eventing USA magazine, the official publication of the US Eventing Association. Kristin was also featured recently in Practical Horseman magazine.

Here's looking forward to more great news this year.
